Hendaye Basque Villas

When you walk through Hendaye one can not miss the magnificent villas with their unusual architecture. They are neo-Basque style villas from the early twentieth century. You can admire these beautiful homes by the sea, between the central beach and Sokoburu neighborhood (I recommend that you walk a bit away from the beach and pass through the perpendicular streets to admire all of these styled homes. You won't be disappointed). The architecture differs from the traditional Basque style in that the neobasque architects incorporated new materials, such as stone in the traditional white walls with the wooden trusses.
