Information for tourists
Fort de France has several tourist information offices: one at the airport, two in the centre of the city, and two in other ports (Quai des Tourelles and Pointe Simon). The office in the cruise terminal Tourelles is located in a small wooden building, just opposite the quay. They offer you a street map of the city and information (in English and French) about the rest of the island's tourist attractions. There are also companies here offering excursions. The information and tourism office in Schoelcher street organises guided tours of the city and its surroundings, which last 2 - 3 hours each.
