Ospedale Barrier

The area around Porto Vecchio offers many attractions apart from the beach. The mountains are not far from the coast of Corsica, to my delight. It is situated 19 km away from Porto Vecchio and 800 meters higher up is the small town of Ospedale, with its beautiful mansions and a beautiful stone church. For hiking enthusiasts, it is a good starting point for beautiful walks. A little further on, at an altitude of 948 meters, in the highest part of Porto Vecchio you can find the Ospedal artificial lake.
