Park of Taipas

7 km from Guimaraes lies the small village of Caldas das Taipas, famous for its hot springs, belonging to the parish of Caldelas. It has a very busy recreation and entertainment area, that is busy both by the villagers and the surrounding people, as it is a natural area that has a river beach (along the river Ave), sports courts, public swimming pools summer, playground, camping area and picnic area. There are also a few bars around it where people like to stop in for a drink.
