Provincial Archaeological Museum of Western Lucania

The Provincial Archaeological Museum of Western Lucania can be found in the "bajo" (or: low) house in Certosa di San Lorenzo, which was established in 1957 to collect the artifacts that were recovered during unexpected excavations. The 800 or so that came to light during the excavations that were carried out by the Directorate of Museums Province of Salerno, in the Hall of Consilina and Padula, where they were discovered nearly 1,500 tombs. The exhibition has been enriched by some of the materials found in the area of ​​the necropolis at Sala Consilina Menafra in the 60's.
