This archaeological site is located right in the boardwalk of Meloneras beach. In 2000 and 2001 this area was the subject of archaeological investigations, which lead to uncovering remains of domestic settlements. The residents of these settlements were aboriginals, who chose this place for its proximity to the pond Maspalomas. Thanks to this pond, they could have water throughout the year and animals to hunt and fish. Thanks to Carbono14 we have come to know that this site was occupied between VII and IX centuries A.C. And maybe they stayed until the XV century, date on which occurs the conquest
