A great place to eat good ice-cream with relaxing sea views. The huge and varied restaurant also serves sundaes. It also has an extensive wine list and homemade cakes that will delight those addicted to ice-cream and desserts! Highly recommended!
Somewhere in Maspalomas, more specifically next to Charca de Maspalomas, is a small paradise that will stimulate all of your five senses. We begin with the visual - warm, attnetion to detail and unique. We continue with the taste - with every dish you discover new flavors, always well combined and exquisitely presented (of course the latter belongs to the previous point). In terms of the ear - excellent music and a great ambience. It is best that you discover it for yourself.
This Japanese restaurant is located in the heart of the Playa del Ingles beach. It has four stars. All dishes are beautifully served with great professionalism and friendliness. Good value for money. Not closed at noon. Try the Kirin beer.
Piscolabis Broadway is located on the main street of the town. They are sandwich specialists and have a takeaway area. Prices are in line with the quality and quantity of the food. Come early, since it gets very busy especially at weekends.
Anno Domini restaurant offers delicious French and Italian cuisine, enhanced by light and tasty sauces. The French owner, winner of the Cointreau Award, is also the Head Chef, ensuring wonderful preparation of all of the dishes. In Anno Domini, there are no nasty surprises - you can recommend a dish to your friends and it will always be served in the same way. In fact, the clientele of Anno Domini includes many international diners (the card is in 10 languages). An unforgettable experience for foodies. It is recommended in the Michelin Guide. Hours: Anno Domini opens only at night from 18:30 to 23:30. It is closed on Sundays in August and October. From November to April, it is open daily. Closed in May, June, July and September. Directly opposite is Mini Domini, a small bistro with smaller portions for those with a smaller appetite. However the quality is same as in Anno Domini. Website www.Restaurantannodomini.Com
One of the advantages of Gran Canaria is its wonderful temperature, as nice as it is Maspalomas is also the place in Europe with the most hours of sunshine per year. If you also add the sea, the dunes and the many resorts, I think Maspalomas is one of my favorite spots, where I escape to whenever I can. La Palmera restaurant is in the Sheraton Salobre Golf & Spa resort. Access is little complicated, but follow the highway to Puerto Rico and after a few miles to go Meloneras, you see the turning to Salobre Golf. Once there, you will discover a valley created to stimulate all your senses. And in this valley is the Sheraton! La Palmera is one of the many restaurants in the resort. The wide variety meets the needs of countless travelers, each with their own taste. In The Palm the food is Mediterranean from an a la carte menu, all great. I recommend the cheese starters with palm honey and bread with serrano tumaca. I asked for a recommendation for my main course - spinach tortellini with ricotta sauce (I was surprised how good they were, because it is difficult to find good pasta at a restaurant that is not Italian) and for dessert, you can try the brownie, what a treat! All with friendly service and wonderful views, it is a very calm and relaxed. I recommend making a stop at La Palmera either as golfers or as guests of Sheraton Salobre - it is for any traveler who wants to have lunch in a privileged environment and have a good time.
During my stay at the Lopesan Baobab Resort, I was fortunate enough to dine in their African themed restaurant, the Akara. Located in the central lodge, is an intimate restaurant with only 6 tables. Perfect for a romantic dinner by candlelight. The menu is small but I still didn't know what to order as everything had such an exotic name! We had some appetizers of the house, tempura egg yolk (delicious, I could have eaten 3 or 4 more ...) and sweet potato sorbet, which had a great texture and a sweet taste. We hoped that the main course would match the starter and, boy, did it! We had lamb couscous, though the waiter told us it was pretty spicy. We decided to risk it and it was a very wise choice. I can only give it a 10 - the most tender lamb, lovely couscous and the sauce was great. Words cannot do it justice. The thought of it still makes my mouth water. A perfect choice if you want to surprise your partner with an intimate evening in a magical setting.
Located in the basement of the Los Aloe apartments you will find this friendly bar where you can try several different tapas, among other things mushroom croquettes, fried octopus, chicken wings and thighs and of course, their specialty the chicken or lamb Moorish kebabs. Very good prices and a great atmosphere. It should be in the Michelin guide.
Sometimes you discover little places that become an experience all on their own. The big resorts usually have plenty of restaurants for the traveler to find one that best suits their needs. One of my favorites is the Porch in the Villa del Conde. It is under a kind of artificial cave that is open to one of the hotel pools, so all the tables have an enviable view. To begin with we ordered potatoes with mojo and a Canary cheese board which was really good (I love aged cheese, what good cheeses the Canaries have!). For the main course a pizzeta mozzarella, prosciutto and arugula - delicious. Although I don't have pictures, I also recommend the roast beef and mustard baguette - it is one of the most spectacular sandwiches I've had in my life and I get hungry just thinking about it! For dessert, a glass of chocolate milk with cream. Delicious food, friendly staff and a perfect location that makes you want to take a dip in one of the splendid pools after lunch. Since the Maspalomas dunes are only about 200 meters away it makes it the ideal place for lunch after a morning at the beach, or just to enjoy a good coffee while watching the sunset.
I am fond of Chinese food and this restaurant did not disappoint. Located opposite the beach of Maspalomas this restaurant offers wonderful views over the Atlantic from its terrace and good, hearty meals. For dinner, especially on weekends, it is always packed. Their specialities include a basket of chicken, shrimp and walnuts. Say no more, we ate the basket as well ... (do not panic, it was edible!)
You have to earn the food at this beautiful restaurant by finding it! You must walk about 20 minutes from the lighthouse at Maspalomas, in the direction of Mogan. The effort will certainly not be in vain. It is a modern and spacious place with great service. The beautifully cooked and generous dishes will not disappoint. A MUST.
Last time we came to Maspalomas we discovered this tapas bar, recommended for its ambience. The friendly owner, Jaime Balbás, is originally from Santander and has not forgotton his roots. Here you can watch live matches and enjoy the best mojitos on the island
