"The best is the water"

This drinking water fountain isn't like other fountains that were used to take water from the kitchen and the laundry. It was built in 1894 and was in front of the Anglican Cathedral of Saint Nicholas. But in 1903 Queen Victoria, who liked to be represented in the cities through which she passed, installed a huge statue of herself in front of this cathedral so the fountain had to be moved. It's now near Grainger Street, in the upper part of Bigg Market, that is the boundary between the medieval neighborhoods and nineteenth-century neighborhoods (developed during the industrial revolution).
