A golf competition
Scotland is known throughout the world as the birthplace of golf, so in 2014 it will host the Gleneagles Ryder Cup, a competition in which the top 24 international players will compete, under the direction of Paul McGinley and Tom Watson. This event was first held in 1973. Now, for the second time in its history it will return to Scotland, to be held in the Gleneagles Hotel in Perthshire.
