San Nicolas Church

Sete Cidades is one of the most special places on Sao Miguel, on the bridge that crosses the two lakes and its situated in the crater of an ancient volcano, the church of St. Nicholas, with its road covered by a towering Araucaria dating back to the construction of the temple in the year 1849. The inside is small and secluded, and on the outside, in addition to the pine, you will find beautiful flowering shrubs, as well as hydrangeas, the most popular flower in Azores.
