Shops in the Forbidden City

In the main entrance to the mythical Forbidden City in Beijing there are several souvenir shops. This impressive historic complex, which is under state protection since 1961, has been part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987. Olympic Medals with your name, jade pendants, necklaces with your name engraved in Chinese characters, models of the Forbidden City, Chinese horoscope symbols, Opera Masks Beijing Olympics shirts, portraits of Mao ... are just some of the thousands of items sold at these stores.
