5 reviews of St. Peter's Church

Tallest tower in the city

Its silhouette stands in the sky of Zurich, the clock can boast Peterskirsche, a watch of almost 9 feet in diameter. It does not seem that great from far away but if we go see how the needles are sized , it is spectacular. Its tower is the tallest in the city, and helped to control fires in the surrounding zone during the Middle Ages.

Romanesque church

Excellent

The tower has four watches and can be photographed from anywhere in the city and the diameter of the watch towers is 9 meters (maybe the largest in Europe). Around 1230, this Romanesque church was built on a small hill in Zurich and the first mayor, Rudolf Brun, was buried here in 1360. It's open 8-18 on weekdays, 10-16 Saturdays and 11-17 on Sundays.
