Great views of the city
St Peter's Church in Eastgate Street is one of the best points to go for views of the city. It is a Grade I listed building, and is still an active Anglican parish church. Situated on part of the Roman Praetorium, it is a square, red sandstone building. At the west end is a clocktower with a bell.
