Staro Hopovo Monastery

At about two kilometers from the monastery Novo Hopovo, isolated and surrounded by pine trees, there is a male monastery Old Hopovo, surely one of the smallest on Fruska Gora. Often referred to as the old monastery. At the end of the fifteenth and early sixteenth century Djordje Brankovic raises the monastery and built a church dedicated to St. Nicholas. From the old church, which was built of wood and covered with tiles, almost none. Having suffered under the impact of the earthquake, in the middle of the eighteenth century, instead nobody's church dedicated to St. Panteleimon. During World War II the church of the monastery was partially damaged, destroyed shelter, a partly burned iconostasis.
