Tamezret

Tamezret is a picturesque village located on top of a hill overlooking El Dahar, just 10 km from Old Matmata by road from Douz and Kebili ( C-104). It is a stone village, whose houses have excavated parts underground. Unfortunately, this is being lost because the residents are moving into new concrete houses, and the village is deteriorating gradually. The maze of streets was recently paved with tiles, in the upper part of town is the main square, with the city, the mosque and a typical cafe with Berber decoration.
