What a way to spend the morning!

We wake up to find the boat moored in a sea-filled volcanic crater. This was a pirates hideout and written on the rock walls are the names of boats finding safe harbor here. We start the morning with a climb up on to the rim of the twin volcanic craters. It is May and the finches are feeding their young, the lava lizards are scuttling over the rocks and the mockingbirds are posing for photos. Returning to the boat and it is snorkeling time.

Below are many large fish and brightly colored anemones and starfish. Suddenly a penguin darts past chasing a shoal of small fish, zigzagging around rocks and bobbing to the surface.
