The Lighthouse

This beautiful lighthouse is located on the coastal municipality of Torrox (Málaga). The construction divided the two nearest beaches of Nerja and is next to the remains of a castle destroyed during the War of Independence. Construction began in 1860, and the lighthouse began operating in 1864. Over the years, the lighthouse has undergone several modifications for the sake of art, but its basic white cylindrical construction of a house with a red roof continues to put a romantic note on the place and make it ideal for witnessing the beautiful sunrises and sunsets of this coast.
