Temporary exhibitions of paintings
Next to the reception of Museum Mateus Palace, on the left wing of the main courtyard, there are two rooms that are free to enter. These are the cafe and the gift shop. The cafe is a bit poor, It only has only bottles of water and coffee. The room is also used for temporary exhibitions of paintings. In the shop you can buy postcards and books of the palace as well as homemade products such as jams, and famous Mateus Wines.
