Via Marble

The Marble Road is the continuation of the Way of the Curettes. Its name comes from the material with which it is paved, large slabs of marble in a herringbone pattern. The Grand Theatre lies at the end of the road.

As its name suggests, this is an avenue of Ionic and Corinthian columns. It is wonderful to admire the columns from so close, and there are a huge number of them.
