Ronchamp

This church is the church of Notre Dame du Haut in Ronchamp village, France. It turns out that this church was destroyed during the Second World War under the pretense of so-called reconstruction based on a modern style that was taking place at that time. It was the mid-twentieth century and, of course, a key figure would be the wellknown Le Corbusier. Charles Edouard Jeanneret-Gris (Le Corbusier) was born in 1887 and was always ahead of his time in terms of modern architecture. It is well known that without him, along with many others, we would not see the amount of contemporary skyscrapers invading our cities.
