A small temple

This small, Cambodian temple in the city of Phnom Penh has a perfect location on Sisowath Quay, the main promenade of the city next to the river, and close to the great center of attraction, the Royal Palace. This is the most important Buddhist temple in the capital, built in 1443, later damaged during the terrible imperial war of the Khmer Rouge, and later restored. The Gateway Arch is magnificent, as are the numerous statues around them. The interior is not very flashy, but there are nice views of the river, and down the side, locals perform their prayers and celebrations. We were lucky to witness one of them, and it was emotional.
