Wat Phra Si Sanphet

This religious complex pops up out of nowhere. In the heat and humidity, it rises over the landscape, displaying its greatness. The entrances to the chedi is a like a small version of a Khmer mandapa (entrance chamber to a sanctuary). The ashes of kings are located in its central chambers and there are chests with Buddha images and relics.
