After greeting the spiritual head of the town, the welcoming committee had prepared A PARADE! It was a tour of the main streets of town where you could greet friends and visit a few temples to give thanks for brining "him" back. I had only been in the village for a few minutes in the village and was already aware of "who" had come to Kharsodkala: HariSingh Patidar. He was everything in the village; the mayor, the patron, the spiritual adviser, the creator of jobs, etc. Above all, he was honest, kind, generous, peaceful, conciliatory, tolerant, and, as I myself can attest, very, very hospitable. It was a tremendous show of tradition which I was experiencing first hand.
