West Park Rose Garden

The Parque del Oeste (Western Park) is one of the most extensive landscaped areas in all of Madrid and is practically an extensión of the untamed nature found in Casas del Campo.

This giant park, which was created in 1905, was previously a trash dump. Its biggest attraction, in my opinion, is its rose garden.

The first rose garden in Madrid was set up in Retiro Park. In 1958 they decided to install another big rose garden in this new area, not only as a decorative element but also with the idea of it becoming a big rose exposition in accordance with botanical criteria.

When you arrive at Parque del Oeste, the entrance to the rose garden is found on Paseo del Pintor Rosales, in front of Buen Suceso street.
