Zermatt-Matterhorn

Zermatt (formerly known as Praborgne in French) is a municipality in the Swiss canton of Valais, located in the district of Visp. It's one of the most popular and exclusive ski resorts in Switzerland, along with St. Moritz, Klosters and Gstaad. We visited this small but charming town and climbed through cog railway to Gornegrat up to 3,136 meters. There are 4 routes down to Zermatt. 1. Gornegrat-Rotenboden-1'7km, 2. Rotenboden-Riffelsee-Riffelberg-3.2 km. 3. Riffelberf-Riffelalp 2.2 km. 4. Riffelalp-Findelbach-Zermatt 6km.
