We took a train from Geneva to Zermatt (which is about a 4 hour trip) just to see the Matterhorn. We didn't even go for the skiing, we went for the 10-month beverages. It's amazing how it protrudes nearly 4,500 meters above the other mountains, and that's what it looks like from anywhere in the town, whether you're walking, on the train, or, of course, from the ski resort (the largest and most beautiful in Europe), which you can get to by the Gornertgatbahn travem for about 50 CHF.

Zermatt (formerly known as Praborgne in French) is a municipality in the Swiss canton of Valais, located in the district of Visp. It's one of the most popular and exclusive ski resorts in Switzerland, along with St. Moritz, Klosters and Gstaad. We visited this small but charming town and climbed through cog railway to Gornegrat up to 3,136 meters. There are 4 routes down to Zermatt. 1. Gornegrat-Rotenboden-1'7km, 2. Rotenboden-Riffelsee-Riffelberg-3.2 km. 3. Riffelberf-Riffelalp 2.2 km. 4. Riffelalp-Findelbach-Zermatt 6km.

In front of the train station that takes you to Zermatt Tasch, you will find this interesting train station. The climb to the summit of 3089 meters takes about twenty minutes. The views over the Matterhorn are extraordinary. As you climb the Matterhorn, you can sample all types of different views. Try to sit on the right side of the train ...

Much to my surprise this beautiful location is not listed as a place to visit. Sion is the capital city of the province of Valais in French Switzerland. A place without pollution and with the charm the old world has to offer. Recommended in any season. If there is snow you can ski , you can always mountain climb, you can go hiking, bike riding, and if you prefer a more sedentary lifestyle, you can enjoy some wine, cheese and spectacular views in the small bars and cafes.

We spent the summer with family in Orbe. From there we traveled to Zion without knowing where we were going, surprise excursion! And what was the surprise ending when it seemed we would never stop going up, up and up ... We arrived at a hotel that was used as shelter workers, What type of workers? ... What a surprise behind that hotel was the Large Dam Dixence ... SPECTACULAR. I have no words.

Les Neyres

Les Neyres is an area in the middle of Swiss Alps, where you find, here and there, wooden houses, the traditional way of respecting Swiss construction, gardens and woodlands, with exceptional views of the Swiss Alps. Tranquility and relaxation are guaranteed here. Communications by road and rail are, with the usual Swiss punctuality, very good. You can visit three different countries in a day and come back to dine at your accommodation. With the smell of grass, and rain forest which are so characteristic of this area. It is curious in this country, idyllic for hikers and mountain bikes, on a small path you will find directional signs, waste bins, irrigation hydrants or the stump of a tree as a planter with flowers. All this in areas in the middle of a forest. I admire the culture of respect for both the environment and for other people. You never see waste paper, plastic items or a discarded cigarette butt thrown onto the ground, whether you are in the city, in the woods, on the road or in a camp site. On the road, in general, you can usually tell if the driver is Swiss or not, by their respect for the rules of driving. But, do not ask them to attend to you in a store, restaurant or any establishment, five minutes after the set time for closing.

If you are at the Verbier touring or skiing you must not forget to climb the Mont Fort. You have to take at least three cable cars but the view over the Alps is unmatched. It is here where you can view Mont Blanc and Matterhorn. There is also a mini restaurant where customers can have the fondue. When you get to the last cable car the trip is not over yet as you have to hold the rope for the remaining meters, crossing over the top.

We hiked accompanied by a guide who took us through the sites in safety. There were times that we had trails that were virtually impossible to pass on several occasions and I was afraid that I would roll down the mountain. In those moments of fear the guide held my backpack and handled me like a rag doll and let me go in a safer place. I felt much safer when we climbed than when we went down, a small slip and you fall on your ass from mid-mountain. The experience was one of a kind.

Amazing, spectacular views from the little Matterhorn viewpoint, due to Europe's highest ski lift, a cable car that achieves a rapid ascent of more than 3,800 meters. Luckily the day was clear and I could see eternity, peaks of the Alps in France, Switzerland and Italy - positively stunning. To view the Matterhorn so close was wonderful and I recommend this to everyone going to Switzerland.

Nestled in the middle of the Swiss Alps, this small town is called Evolène. The houses are all made of wood and the balconies look great in summer when they're full of flowers. A place for peace and relaxation, where the people are really lovely.

Switzerland is a great country! The way this country has managed to acquire the wealth it has, mainly from industrial sources, while still preserving the environment and landscape is amazing, especially since we can enjoy it through my photographs. Kisses!
