The waiters are dressed in traditional costume, and the decor is inspired by the story of Hansel and Gretel, but the main reason why this restaurant is recommended is its fish: it's simple, but of excellent quality at an affordable price. In short, if you want to eat fresh fish in town, this restaurant is not to be missed. It is located in Ivana Tkalcica street, one of the most famous in the city, so it's easy to find.
In the heart of Zagreb is a alleyway (Skalinska) where you can eat almost anything at a great price. For about 73 Kuna (about 11 € in 2011) I ate a plate of spaghetti, pasta, beer and a pint and water bottle. The waiters are fast, the dishes plentiful and there is a nice atmosphere, but very hot during the day in summer.
There is a little yellow cafe that is decorated with sunflowers that serves an ice cream coffee of chocolate or vanilla that is cold for 15 Kuna (About 2 € in 2011) They are Served with spectacular cookies. And free wifi! What more can you ask for?
Located at Nicola Tesla, 10, this is a typical site where you can eat good grilled meat. It's recommended and welcoming. The value for the price is acceptable. Good location relatively close to the cathedral and Jelacic Square.
