If you say that the food is precooked, that just goes to show how weak of a palate you have. I can assure you that the food at the restaurant Muñoza in 100% homemade and the best I've had, all great quality, and the best ingredients. I can assure this because the cook is a member of my family and I know how well she cooks ... it's worth it to try their chicken Milanese, herring salad or lasagna (all homemade of course)
Professional and friendly service and quality food. The setting: a 10. The ground is completely covered with ancient trees, a stream crosses the property (owned by a farm) and the tables are spread over different terraces - all in the shade. Ideal with kids in hot weather in the city. The price is reasonable for what it offers, it came to less than 40 € each (though no one had wine). Recommended.
After three years of attempting to go, I finally got to this restaurant. It's in an old restored barn, and has classic rural decor with modern touches, especially in the tables. There's a huge fireplace, which, the waiter told us, warms the place on cold winter evenings and gives it a romantic touch. I'll check this personally the next time I go. The quality of service and cleanliness were very good, although the quite extensive menu is halved during the weekdays. The specialty is roast, excluding weekends, during the winter. The grilled meats are great, at least the sirloin we ordered was. The ham croquettes were pretty good, but they forgot half the ingredients of the Vizcaina cod so we ended up with cod and tomato, a shame. I will say that the dishes lacked a bit of presentation. As I said before, I would have to visit in the perfect season to continue commenting. Reasonable price.
On the street where the Town Hall Square of Cercedilla meets the cafeteria Florida, there is a really special site that's a great find on a cold mountain day. This is a cafe/bakery with typical local sweets, like sweet pastries, "bambas", pastries or croissants. I recommend it for the friendly atmosphere, and for the chocolate and teas, which are very tasty and of different flavors. You'll also receive good treatment.
I must say that this is the second time that we've come here, and it's a good place for those of who like to eat well, especially meat, which is a delicacy. If you dare to try the fish or seafood the quality will surprise you, the cockles have a surprising texture and flavor, but of course, in the Sierra de Madrid it's difficult to eat badly. Besides, Javi and his brother are extremely attentive. Also, in response to the other review, I am very surprised with such a negative experience. Obviously each person has their own opinion, in my case, I recommend it 100%.
Casa Cirilo restaurant is probably the longest running in the open meadows and most people will probably go there because it is the first thing you find upon arrival. In winter, you are thankful for a rest before or after any activity in the area, especially because the restaurant is next to the two main car parks. Also thanks to the snow providing a very Christmas winter landscape. Good prices for a traditional meal with a good hot chocolate in winter.
Excellent restaurant with homemade food, to highlight the butter beans, old cloth, home-grown vegetables, steak etc. Especially the desserts: lemon mousse, fried milk, rice pudding. Naturally rich wines, several Riojas, excellent Villarrica Crianza 2007, 2008.
In one of our regular walks in the unique setting that offers the Camorritos pine forests, we found a large farm of about thirty acres on the banks of the river Pradillo. It has the Seven Peaks Mountain as its backdrop.
Within the above mentioned farm there is another one that occupies roughly half of it, where you can find all natural biodynamic products, produced right there or if circumstances prevent they are brought from other nearby farms.
Organic Eggs (for me too expensive), tomatoes, onions, garlic and many more. All these are the products available in store. But in my opinion the best are the breads, cheese and yogurt, this last is delicious.
But however if you want to buy anything, you feel completely renovated just visiting the place. Getting there is very easy. You can walk, go by car or funicular up from the station in Cercedilla. As the only condition, if you go by car or motorbike, is that you have to leave them at the station and continue through a forest track from there for just five hundred meters and passing a barrier to our right is the small access Trough one fence.
As in previous years, the 11 most important restaurants of Cercedilla, one of the most beautiful and picturesque villages of the Community of Madrid in the Sierra de Guadarrama, open their doors for 8 days of gastronomic fun in April. I've been to every one of them on several occasions, which doesn't mean that I can recommend any one in particular because it would detract from the other. I encourage you to choose one for yourself and enjoy the selected menu next to the incomparable landscape. There are tasting menus in each restaurant.
Outside any utopia, this restaurant-bar confirms that family treatment is not incompatible with quality. Do not expect luxury, not just a few people whose professionalism has been earned with time, not having gone to any hospitality school. At the bar we met Gabi and Dani that served us with skill and sympathy, plus some good snacks. In the dining room there was Esther, his daughter and one or two employees who will guide you as to the menu refers. Finally in the kitchen there is a large master roaster called Angel (pictured) is the creator of us to get to our taste the excellent roasted. The roasts must be ordered a day or two in advance. In this regard I recommend be responsible shoulders, extremely tasty. The star dish for my taste, apart from the meat of the Sierra de Guadarrama and croquettes, is baby squid salad with endive and sour sauce. Sensational. They also have daily menu Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. A highly recommended place.
A great place to spend the afternoon. A huge terrace surrounded by trees with grill and cocktail menu. The music there is soft and quiet. It is located right next to the train station, so it is great to go out of the train and being able to have a drink there. Open from 23.00 h. Local starts working inside a nightclub, but the kitchen and the terrace continue to operate until dawn. Great place. Best discovery in town.
