My wife and I took a lovely walk through this town and the neighboring town of Garrucha. I really enjoyed it, especially being by the port. Here are two photos of the beach.
The Maritimo Promenade is one of the highlights of Garrucha. It has a length of nearly 2 kilometers and has numerous palm trees running along it and beautiful manicured gardens. Pay attention to its long marble railing and the Fisherman's Monument. The ports and Garucha beach are nearby. It is an ideal place to walk and relax on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea. The fishing port of Garrucha is located along the Malecon, and is the second largest fishing port in the province, after the port of Almeria. It boasts good restaurants serving typical seafood, especially Gamba Roja de Garrucha. There is an excellent fish market every day near the port which is well worth seeing.
