The Peñalara Lagoon is a small pond that you arrive at after a short walk of an hour from Perryridge. It is the perfect place to get away for a weekend day with your kids or your partner. I recommend taking food and water with you. From there you can do other routes such as the Lagoon of the Birds.
Climbing Mount Abantos (right in front of El Escorial), one can have a wonderful time with the arrival of winter and the first snowfall. There are plenty of routes you can have super-fun with road cars or quads. As you'll see in the photos, fun is guaranteed. That's right, do not ever take your adventure without the right car.

The train of Nature uses green transportation to take you to visit the mountains of Madrid. It is an environmental education program that allows participants to reach the Summit Nature Park, Circus and Peñalara Laguna, intercalating the contemplation and appreciation of the unforgettable landscapes with the identification of species of flora and fauna in the natural are. The activity consists of three parts: * On arrival at Cercedilla, an audiovisual projection inside an old train of the line C-9, which is perfectly conditioned, where we learn about the nature and perception through the five senses. * During the activity you'll be on a train on a narrow-gauge railway that connects the village of Cercedilla regularly with the Puerto de los Cotos. * Walking tour of about 5 km, which runs along the lower areas of Peñalara Natural Park, with frequent stops for activities. Along the route there is a longer stop for lunch in the field. Each participant must bring their own lunch. Throughout the day participants are accompanied by environmental educators. This is a great activity for kids!
