All about Dublin tourism

Dublin, the capital of Ireland, is widely regarded as one of Europe’s most friendly cities and is a constant innovator in culture and business. Despite being on an island, it’s actually quite easy to travel to Dublin: visitors can catch a ferry to Dublin Port from Liverpool, England or fly into Dublin Airport and catch the Airlink bus to the city’s most popular destinations. So, what’s there to do during your holiday in Dublin?

Well, the biggest name in Dublin tourism is perhaps the Guinness Storehouse, an impressive building which houses a museum dedicated to the iconic Irish stout. Tours finish at the Gravity Bar, a top-floor establishment where you can try a pint of Guinness while enjoying the best views you’ll encounter during your entire Dublin holidays.

Next stop on your Dublin vacation should be the city center (the Dublin Spire will be your guide) to experience Dublin’s cultural offer and nightlife. Pay a visit to the National Museum of Ireland and its rich archaeological collection, learn about your host city in the Little Museum of Dublin, and marvel at the priceless works of European art at the National Gallery. You can finish your day of tourism in Dublin with a visit to the jovial Temple Bar neighborhood for some traditional Irish food and an evening in the pubs.

In August, the city hosts the world-famous Dublin Horse Show, a multi-day celebration of equestrian events, food, art, and music. If you can’t visit Dublin in August, you can always take a visit to what is perhaps the most popular tourist attraction in the city: the Dublin Zoo. Have a look below at the tips and recommendations from real travelers and discover the best places to see, eat, and sleep in the wonderful Irish capital.
