With its 400 natives and its many slopes, Eus is one of those places you never forget. The entire town is well maintained, and is one of the most lovely in France. On top of the hill, we found the church and a fortress in ruins. Inside the church, the priest came running to me to tell me the miracle of the church. If you take a photo without flash ,you see Jesus, but if you do it with flash, you will see the red tears in his eyes ... A part of miracles, Eus is a nice place to discover, without feeling like a movie set, where you can also find peace and calmness.
The church of San Vicente stands proud from afar, it stands out among the red roofs of the spectacular hilltop town of Eus. The climb by twisting alleys, by end recesses and through small caves is worth our time and admiration and it is impossible not to stop at every step. Climb among cobblestoned streets and zigzag across shady alleys all accompanied by a heady sun, suddenly you can not go any further as a wall stops you. It looks good and the imposing bell tower greets you, raised to infinity. Listed as a national monument, it is built on the remains of the old chapel of the castle whose ruins are visible, adding mysterious and romantic walks. The perfect symbiosis of stone debris and vegetation. Eus is listed as one of the most beautiful villages in France. After the climb and once you reach the top, you have a reward: the stunning valley with the ubiquitous Canigó Conflent. The image is recorded on your retina and will stay forever in your mind. I think it was my most enjoyable day lately. Unhurried, in solitude with the rhythm of nature. I recommend good sunglasses, sunscreen and hat.
