In June, it looks like a sea of flowers. It is a spectacular nature reserve. Eagles, marmots, birds ... there are flowers that are unique to this reserve and it is a great place to take young children as long as they are used to walking. It's a great place.
Reaching Eyne is like returning to the past. It is surprising to find a town/village such as Eyne in France. It's a touch hippy, almost romantic I'd say, life as before, no rush, no cars, no bars and no crowds of tourists. Eyne is one of the best preserved towns in the Cerdanya valley, no shops, no bars, and it is an exaltation of nature as it's in the heart of the Reserve Naturelle d'Eyne. The town became famous for its flora as the Atlantic and Mediterranean climates converge here making Eyne, and its surroundings, unique with abundant, rich flora. If you just want to unwind, lose yourself, find a touch of mysticism or inner peace, relax and be in touch with nature and ancient traditions - Eyne will give you all. I enjoyed walking through its sparse but steep streets, admiring the beautiful landscape, recognizing smells that transported me back to my childhood. The smell of grass, cows and mountains - ultimately, the smell of the outdoors. Eyne and its park are renowned for hiking trails, nearby ski slopes and archaeological walks and Eyne-Station tourist office will update you on all everything about the area and its range of outdoor activities.
