Harbors in Baltimore
Inner Harbor
On a quiet May Day eve, as the sun was setting, the clouds rumbled together for a perfect storm, in sharp contrast to the industrial smog thickening the air. Walking on the promenade along the harbor, the beauty of a city marred with the imagine of danger was apparent. Baltimore, often best known for its crime scene and abandoned homes - resulting from a viscous cycle of poverty - rather than its historical significance and as the residence of the late writer Edgar Allen Pore, is its own paradise. Often times paradise is closer than we imagine.
Shops in Baltimore
Candy Express
Nestled in Baltimore International Airport's Terminal D, about fifty miles from the center of Washington, Candy Express is a great shop that caught our eye as we waited for our flight. The choices are particularly wide, with some commercial brands like Lindt truffles (which you can buy by the unit, a welcome rarity) as well as homemade chocolates, and typical American candy like jelly beans. Impossible to resist!
Neighborhoods in Bel Air
Bel Air
An amazing neighborhood, it is the most exclusive area within the already "super-exclusive" Beverly Hills. All glamor and luxury, incredible mansions, I recommend that you get lost driving through the neighborhood and do not forget to stop to admire the gardens, entrances, incredible cars... To freak out.

Nature Reserves in Berlin
Assateague State Park
One of my favorite state parks in the country, Assateague is sure to delight the whole family. This state park is near Ocean City, MD for touristy beach fun or near Chincoteague, VA for a more laid-back and nature-oriented vacation. Assateague's claim to fame is being home to wild ponies ve roam on the beach and throughout the park. You're not supposed to approach them too closely, but they will wander near you on their own and make for some great wildlife viewing. Additionally, Assateague is right on the ocean and has great, sandy shoreline without hordes of tourists. These are great shores to stroll and during low tide, you might find some small crabs and other critters roaming around. Hike through the park, bike on the nearby paths, or camp for the night. It's a great place.

Baltimore Museum of Art
As a lover of history and art, I couldn't resist visiting one of the most famous museums in the United States, located in Baltimore, Maryland. This museum was designed in the late nineteenth century by the neo-classical architect John R. Pope; however it wasn't inaugurated until the year 1914. The art is distinctly European, from a collection that belonged to the Cone sisters, a well-heeled local pair who were responsible for looting a bit of the old continent to bring to Baltimore. So you can find works by masters like Picasso, Van Gogh, Degas, Renoir, Matisse, Manet and more. In addition there are some local American works by artists such as Andy Warhol. Interesting? Well yes, but strangely in recent years the huge graffiti outside has started to overshadow the Cone collection, adding an urban touch...
