Run or Dye is a family race involving colored powders. It is a race strictly for fun and not for running at full speed or improving times. Runners walk and chat with friends and many children and older people join as well. At the end everyone gathers to sing, listen to music and just be completely covered in different colors. The powder is non-staining, non-irritable and temporary. We ran this one in McAllen but they also do it all over the USA.
14 km long and with heights of 500 m, the Santa Elena Canyon, with the famous Rio Bravo, is a great place to visit and take photos. There are no border patrols or officials here, just the land marking the border between north and south. You'll find it between Texas and Chihuahua.
