A spectacular dirt road of about 80km that crosses through the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument. Colorful views from the road range from hills made of red clay to an intense white river banks. You can also visit the Grosvenor Arch and Kodachrome Basin Park.
Grosvenor Arch is not as well known as other arches in the region but it has its charm. You get to it by a dirt road that crosses the Cottonwood Canyon in Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument. Then, you walk along a paved path for a couple of minutes from the parking lot until you reach the arch.
On the way to Hole in the Rock in the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, we discovered this unusual place. It is worth stopping for a moment to see these strange formations and natural arches (careful though, there are bats in a lot of the cracks in the rocks).
