    King Guesthouse hotel
I came to this place because they said the internet was good, which is unusual in Cambodia, and I found the headquarters of a wonderful NGO that helps orphaned children by giving them education of internet technology. It also functions as a guesthouse and business centre for meetings. Everything collected goes to help children. It's an affordable choice in accommodation in the capital of Cambodia, with beds starting at €3. Like almost everywhere in Cambodia, upon arriving they put on the film The Killing Fields about the genocide of the Khmer Rouge, and it seems incredible that in such a short time Cambodians have "forgotten" what happened. The restaurant serves good food and the staff is very helpful, I trust them so much that I left my passport so I could get a visa for Laos and not have to wait several days. They sent me directly to Siem Reap, and I just paid a few dollars more.

    City River Hotel
This city is full of hotels on the way from the airport to the center. No doubt, they are very big and luxurious, but this one in which we stayed turned out to be delightfully luxurious and at the same time affordable It's right next to the river, near the heart of the city, and has fairly comfortable rooms. In general, even the smallest hotel has its charm (at least in Siem Reap). It was pretty neat, and had good views over the city and a very nice pool where you could relax after visiting the temples. A well-chosen place.

    Sokhalay Angkor Villa Resort
It is a great 5-star hotel situated in the city of Siem Reap, and is 5 minutes from the main shopping street and 10 minutes from the market. The room was really big and there was even a great bathroom. One of the best things was a saltwater pool (nicer than chlorine) and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, even allowed us to have late check-out, which comes in handy, because after visiting temples in the morning, you can use the room until 3pm, and take a shower, something you really need.

    Garden Village Angkor hotel
Although it seems hard to believe, there are accommodations in Siem Reap, the town closest to the World Heritage Site Angkor Wat complex, for only 1.00€! Well, to be fair in that case you'll be staying on the roof of a log cabin, but you can get a room at Garden Village Angkor for just 5.00€. The place is very nice, with beautiful gardens and a terrace bar, plus rental service for bikes and motorcycles, the most common means of transportation for backpackers looking to explore Angkor.

    Aroma Daily Guesthouse hotel
This is a guesthouse that could be called a little hotel. It is very close to the central market, but hidden enough to enjoy a quiet break. The single costs $ 8 a night, but the price is negotiable and you can get a small discount if you stay more than 3 nights. (Prices June '09). They are quite spacious and have a king bed, fan, hot water, desk and wardrobe and TV. They organize everything for the tourist and offer the same prices as any agency, but without the haggling, something much appreciated. Another curiosity is that they have a patio with lots of crocodiles. I counted 15 of them! It seems that it started as a hobby but has turned into breeding with the intention of selling them. The skin and meat are prized in these parts.

    Le Tigre Hotel
Angkor Wat is one of those special places in the world that no traveler should miss. Your visit to the temples will be exhausting, so you need a good place to relax your tired feet and cool off from the sweltering heat. Thanks to the majestic temples of Angkor, Siem Reap has become a city dedicated almost exclusively to tourism. Therefore it's very easy to find a hotel, it gets complicated, however to find good quality at an affordable price, sleeping in this city can be very unreasonable considering that we are in Cambodia. Le Tigre de Papier is a beautiful hotel located near the Siem Reap market, away from the temples of Angkor and the surrounding resorts, where you can feel fully integrated into the real life of the city. And you'll be within walking distance of its busiest commercial center. Its owner, Jean Luc, a French chef who once fell in love with Cambodia and a Cambodian woman gladly helps you with whatever you might need during your stay (which is in their home). They ensure that you have everything you need to make your stay as pleasant as possible, even before arriving, offering a free shuttle to pick you up from the airport. The same driver will offer you rides the next day, he's willing to negotiate prices. Don't turn it down, it's lovely. The rooms are somewhat out-dated, but they have everything you need to make you feel comfortable, they're extremely clean with air conditioning, satellite TV, Wifi, and free Internet access on the computers in the hotel lobby. Breakfast, served in the interesting bamboo bar is delicious with fresh juices, crêpes, toast, fried eggs and everything you need to get ready for the long day that awaits you in Siem Reap. The hotel also has a swimming pool, garden and hot tub to relax at the end of the day after exploring. It's difficult to find a complaint, however it is located on an unpaved road, so your walk to the market can be winding, with puddles from the rain, asphalt is something which is lacking greatly in this country. Le tigre de papier, has one of the best European restaurants throughout Asia, visit his corner it's sure to surprise you with all of the dishes you can taste ... http://www.Minube.Com/rincon/restaurante-le- Tiger-de-papier-a93020

    Sokha Beach Resort
This is the best Cambodian seaside resort, situated in the city of Sihanoukville. It is a complete paradise. It has got a spa, casino, pool and especially a private beach that is the closest thing to paradise that can be found in this world. I stayed a week and I will never forget it. The staff is very friendly, the rooms are spacious, and those with sea view and pool spectacular. It is near another popular beach called Ochheuteal Beach in Sihanoukville. It is known around the world, where you can get dinner for $ 3, listen to music and sip a cocktail.

    Angkor Miracle Resort & Spa
This newly built hotel in Siem Reap is luxurious. It is located 2 km from the city and near the temples of Siem Reap. The rooms are very spacious, there was exquisite service, wonderful breakfast provided and there aren´t Koreans and Chinese people eating breakfast such as a plague of locusts, and there is a pool that hardly anyone uses, because everyone spends the day visiting temples. I was lucky to have an entire morning to enjoy it, in short, a highly recommendable hotel

    Treasure Oasis Hotel
A 4* hotel centrally located in the heart of Siem Reap, 10km from Angkor Wat. It's a cozy hotel, with designer furniture. The lobby is rather small, but there's a large inner courtyard with small goldfish ponds, and a hammock to rest. The rooms are spacious and modern. There's a swimming pool and restaurant. It offers free wifi and minibar, and the service is excellent.

    Golden Butterfly Villa hotel
Super cheap! The double room cost us 25 per night, with a free one hour massage! The bad thing is there's no elevator, but the area compensates for it (next to the night market), as does the warmth of the staff.

    Pacific Hotel & Spa
This new property is located about five minutes by taxi from the city centre, on the road that connects the city to the airport. It's an oasis of peace, with beautiful, comfortable rooms, and a lovely terrace with swimming pool for very little money. We booked a triple room, which was elegant and spacious, with teak flooring, offering very possible comfort. It was completely spotless, and wonderful down to the last detail. The reception is very nice, decorated in the Asian style. The swimming pool is large, and was strangely deserted at every time of day that we visited! Breakfast was the only problem - it was mostly Asian dishes, and there wasn't much variety. The restaurant by the pool instead offers a good selection of both eastern and western cuisine, but the prices are far too high if you compare them with the city centre. We did not try the spa but it seemed quite nice and special. The staff were attentive and friendly, always smiling. We paid 51 euro for a triple room with breakfast. Highly recommended!

    Claremont Angkor Boutique Hotel
When we were travelling through Thailand and Cambodia, we didn't want to stay in hotels that cost more than about $10, and we found this little gem in the city of Siem Reap. Follow the bank of the Siem Reap River southbound about 150 metres from National Highway 6, and you'll find this hotel. The street is quite dilapidated - in Siem Reap you'll find some streets that are still unpaved - but on the plus side, it's in a very quiet area. The facade is charming, built in the traditional style, and there's a very large reception with free internet access and a counter where you can arrange trips (for example, to the temples of Angkor Wat). To the right of the hall, you have access to the pool and the gym. The staff are very friendly and offer like massages in Thailand, even in your room if you wish. The rooms are spacious and clean, with free wifi internet access, TV, and really everything usually found in hotels from 3 stars but at a very affordable price. For us it was a great choice as it also is fairly well located being close to the river which is the starting point to go anywhere in the city.

    Royal Hotel
The Royal Hotel Battambang is located in the city center, next to the Psah Nat (central market). It is simple and economical. For those who do not have great pretensions and want to travel cheaply, I recommend it. Even the simplest rooms offer plenty of space. Ours was the simplest and cost seven dollars but even that was an exterior room. Interior rooms are also available and they are even more economical and are also good with a window overlooking the inner courtyard. On the roof there is a restaurant too. The front desk offers all kinds of services (tours, motorcycle rental, bus ticket sales, etc ...). In our experience, the friendliness of the staff is more or less related to the number of services you pay for. We did not pay for anything at the hotel. I recommend looking at other agencies and cafes of the city as we went more economical (eg. Hire a motorbike, or take the bus to Kampot). Despite that the hotel is good.

    Xing Angkor Hotel
If you are looking for a clean, affordable and well-situated place, you can stay at the Pichi Vimean Angkor Hotel. It is perfect for sharing a room as the double room only costs about 20 €. There is something very important for travels which is in-room wifi. Perhaps your weakness is in the breakfast which, although included, doesn´t offer much variety or choice. Breakfast includes an omelet, toast, milk and juice with no other possibility. In any case since it islocated about 5 minutes from the Old Market area, area restaurants, shops, pubs, etc., so that acts as compensation for the breakfast. There you will also have access to other important services such as an ATM or find Asian massages from 4 € per hour. Another place to visit is the nearby Angkor National Museum located near Siem Reap River. Other notable services include 24-hour service. Laundry. Free airport pickup. Information and tours. Motorbike and bicycle rental. etc. Definitely a recommended hotel for those who have to balance the budget without losing security, cleanliness and communication.

    Popular Guesthouse hotel
This is a very popular hostel with fruit trees, only a few steps away from the shore of the river and the central market. It offers a good quality : price ratio for the rooms, which a shared bathroom, a private bathroom, and a fan (The price for a double is $ 4 - 5). In addition it has a good restaurant and a bar, a hallway with free wifi, an internet point ($0.75 an hour), and booking services for travel agencies, tickets, buses, flights, etc. The staff are helpful, and speak good English.

    The Siem Reap Home Hostel
This was the best hotel I've ever seen. It has a great location, just 3 blocks from the hectic nightlife of Pub Street. It's ideal for those travelling and looking to make new friends. We made several trips around the city - to the temples of Angkor Wat, the floating villages, and some orphanages. They offer private rooms if you want privacy and comfort, without losing the international atmosphere of a hostel. Highly recommended!

    Dyna Boutique Hotel
The Dyna Boutique Hotel was my favourite during my Cambodian holiday. It's a charming hotel, ideally located just outside the centre of Siem Reap (which you can reach by a 10 minute walk). It was love at first sight! It has a large patio, with a leafy garden and a nice pool. The atmosphere is quiet and zen. The terrace restaurant offers both Cambodian and Western food, and the rooms are spacious and spotless. Highly recommended!
