Inside the hotel, there are gardens of tropical forest that are lovely and it is the home of different species of animals such as white faced and howler monkeys, armadillos and many birds. At night is the sound of nature, forget the days doing work in the city. The guys at the reception are friendly and know the area which is what allowed me to take some tours like Canopy and Rafting. This Hotel is RECOMMENDED for families, groups of friends, couples dating, senior groups seeking contact with nature and a peaceful place.
It's a hotel nestled in the mountains and in the valley of a river. It's a great attraction for its architecture where colonial buildings and current buildings rival each other. The location is ideal for eco-tourism with its trails in a dry tropical forest. A peaceful area close to the beaches of the region such as the beaches of Jaco, Herradura and Tárcoles, great places for surfers. The hotel has an atmosphere of peace and tranquility ideal for those seeking recreation through hiking, exploration and swimming.
Located within the Corcovado National Park, on the Osa Peninsula in southwestern Costa Rica. This is a wonderful place to get away from civilization and enjoy the rainforest, fauna and flora. Access is by motor boat from Sierpe on the Sierpe River to the sea and then disembarking at the beach. A tractor leads up to the lodge. The sunset over Caño Island is indescribable.

The Sultan Hotel is a new hotel on the same road as the old port at Manzanillo. The service is great and the price includes breakfast for 45 bucks. It has a different character. The Iranian owner will receive you with open arms.
This hotel is on a property of 35 acres and is only 15 minutes walk from the Reserve Monteverde Cloud Forest. Close to this zone is also the biggest population called "Santa Elena", which is the heart of the Monteverde area (stores, restaurants, taxis, pensions, supermarkets, etc.). It has private trails for hiking and day and night spot is worth taking a look. The experience at the hotel was amazing, for going far in September, in full season, we were offered an upgrade, the hotel consists of small houses with 2 floors and with enough separation between them. The rooms were great, great maid service and all the lovely staff. At the reception there was an opportunity to gather information and to book an activity that fancy made.
We Went to this hotel for our honeymoon. It is beautiful! We saw monkeys and other animals from the terrace of our villa. All employees treated us like family and we did not want to leave. The food in the restaurant was top quality, I recommend the smoked trout, my favorite. You should also take the canopy tour. Super fun. Well, thank you Makanda for giving us the vacation of dreams!
This cafe is in the hotel with the same name, it gave us some amazing memories! The beer was so good and so cold! Cerveza Imperial, live your emotions! and the breakfast was fantastic. In the photos you can see the breakfast of Costa Rica and in this case, typical of the Monteverde area, one of the dishes is called "Gallo Pinto" (dish made of rice, beans, vegetables, spices and an egg) and the other is "Monteverde Arepas" , toast accompanied by banana and drizzled with a sweet juice of amazing flavor; those mornings were life itself!. I can not forget the first dish that we got along the palate, a plate of fresh fruit from the area. Mmmmmmm ....... I think I'm getting hungry.
A small B & B in the tourist area of Manuel Antonio, Quepos. It is a cozy place with great facilities: pool, restaurant, parking, WiFi, AC. National Park and beaches are a short distance away by car, otherwise there are taxi and bus services. Beautiful flora and fauna around.
This is 300m from the turnoff to the road to the park, on the road to Manuel Antonio Queipos. These cabins are not bad for the price. A good place for travelers and for couples who come to not only enjoy Costa Rica but to stay. They are big and clean, nothing fancy. A private path to the beach where there aren´t many people. You can eat. For more information, current prices, etc., I put link and an external video also.
We went to Pirate Cove on our honeymoon and the experience was unforgettable! This hotel has bungalows in the middle of the authentic Costa Rican jungle and on the Pacific shore itself! Many underwater activities can be performed, like scuba-diving surrounded by sharks and manta rays while listening to whales singing, then you can rest in a hammock until dinner time. The food was excellent and the service as well. As soon as we can, we are going back!
Situated in the town of Santa Elena and only 10 minutes from the Monteverde Biological Reserve, I found Monteverde Rustic Lodge, a hotel that is 100% recommended by travelers from different parts of the globe and I wanted to be in a place where I could make friends. This hotel is not a 5 star but the service and attention was great. The rooms are decorated with local wood and the interesting thing is that the design is typical of Jose and Marcelo (the owners) who are also the hosts. The hotel also offers tasty homemade breakfast included in the price. From here it is very easy to take the adventure tours, nature walks, rent a horse or walk into town for dinner or a drink. Jose and Marcelo made this place a real experience with excellent service, and it was surely a great deal.
I stayed in Cabinas Manolo about a year ago and they gave me a great deal. Manolo, the owner, took us to the best places. We did excursions to see whales, Aguijita, etc. And it worked out to be pretty cheap! The landscapes are amazing in that area, the best in Costa Rica.
