    The White House
Although it is difficult to find if you don't have a GPS or a map to guide you, it's well worth the effort. This beautiful B&B run by its friendly owners will give you a pleasant stay in this beautiful city. It has rooms overlooking the bay with a full, not to be missed, Irish breakfast. In short, it's a family-style budget accommodation, with a good location and good size rooms, but a little difficult to find.

    Aisling House B&B
If the hostel is full, Aisling House is a great choice for the night in Clifden. The owner is a nice Irish person about 45 years old who talks fast (but clear) and that will give you all the info you want and on what routes, with all sorts of maps and instructions ...Then, if you have a car, he can tell you where to park for "free" and will tell you that if you have a problem in the town do not hesitate to tell him. The truth it is that a rather cozy with a few choices of rooms and even the chance to sleep with the bag in the living room there to share with guests. On the first floor dining room is dominated by a tile trimmed fireplace painted with Czech artist Mucha, or similar ... and is really nice. Of course, breakfast is included and you can choose what you want, if the Irish Breakfast or something else. As you can see, the place is frequented by walkers and young people in general.

    Sleepzone Galway
This is the hostel where we stayed on our trip to Galway. It's famous among backpackers, spacious, and comfortable. There are pool tables, a terrace with barbecue pits, a huge kitchen, and a room with armchairs and boardgames to play, watch TV, or hang out with your computer. The rooms have bunk beds, and some have private bathrooms and showers. Some floors, however, have communal bathrooms. The staff are very friendly although drinking alcohol is not permitted. They did, though, let us sneak in beers disguised as a pitcher of tea!

Amber Hill - Guest House Hotel
It was a rainy day, and we were exhausted after a few hours on the coach - but the boy at reception greeted us with a smile, and seemed to really care about us. He took us to our rooms and made sure that everything was to our liking. The beds had a set of towels, and there was a bathroom, TV with DVD player, refrigerator, two desks, and a closet. In the morning, breakfast was available in the room: a "buffet", although not with a lot of choice. Toast, cereal, various jams, orange juice, yogurt, milk, coffee, and you also have the option to order a Full Irish. The staff are super helpful and friendly. The guestbook at the reception is full of guests' comments, all 100% positive. And they're right, it's a great place to stay. You can call a taxi, and there's no call-out fee - the only downside of this hotel is that it's a bit far from town, which is why it's so cheap and only cost us 20 euros a night at Easter for two people in a triple room. A taxi into town will be about 13 euros.

    Tara House
I stayed here with my husband (then boyfriend) quite by accident, as we hadn't booked anything for our trip to Ireland ... just the flights and the car, as we had decided to enjoy a little Irish adventure. Upon arrival in Galway, we had seen many B&Bs, but nothing really appealed to us until we arrived in Salthill. We were struck by the pleasant appearance of the Tara House, and Anna, the owner, greeted us, was so helpful and friendly. She gave us so much help and advice for our trip. Our room was nice, comfortable, clean and quiet ... So I have good memories of that holiday thanks to the dynamic and friendly owner of the hotel.
