La Cartería is in the basement of the inn that shares the same name, which is where we came across this restaurant that specializes in Spanish cuisine, especially in this area of Zamora. When I ate there, there was a conference, so I ordered mushrooms mycology, but the more typical dish here is the Castilian soup. It's excellent, and the lamb, which is so great that sometimes a single person can't finish it. The best thing is definitely the price. It's a quality place, and it's also pretty cheap.
The Zamora Parador (state-run luxury hotel) is located in the middle of historical district, in the pedestrian area of the city opposite the council building. It is a 4 star hotel with 46 double rooms and 6 suites. The building in which it is housed is the Palacio de los Condes de Alba and Aliste, renaissance style, built in the fifteenth century.
It is decorated with armour, noble tapestries, canopy beds, coats of arms ... It has three conference/meeting rooms, outdoor pool (summer), terrace and garden, a beautiful two-story renaissance cloister, restaurant service and cafeteria.
I was in Zamora a couple of years ago and stayed at this hotel. Upon entering the cleanliness impressed me so cleanly, more the shine tan clean. The bathroom was amazing with many toiletries. What caught my attention was the bar of soap in the shape of a golf ball. Another detail was two chocolate bars just above the pillows. The room with two very comfortable beds and huge cushions, we also had a menú to choose the pillows. Another thing I liked was that the minibar was free, but there was no alcohol. You could also get a drink or snack at certain hours in a lounge that was near reception. I recommend this hotel because it has a pretty good location and you can take a walking visit of Zamora. We parked the car on the street and didn´t use it again until we returned.
It is a hotel which is ideally located in the commercial district of Zamora and has great access to the city centre. Its a beautiful hotel and you can tell it is very well kept. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and well equipped. The hotel has a very good customer service.
The Posada de Las Misas is a charming inn located in the heart of the village, and the Romanesque church of Santa Maria del Quicksilver is right at your fingertips, as is the Castle of the Counts of Benavente, the City of the 16th century and the Baroque chapel of San Cayetano. The hotel has 14 rooms (one of them is a special suite, 4 regular suites and 9 doubles), the most recommended rooms are on the top floor in the attic. On its walls there are paintings and drawings by artists such as Marshall and Cesepé.
Hostal Raices is next to the Church of San Pedro in Puebla de Sanabria, Spain. It's a 5 minute walk from the river Tera. It's a 2 story house with 5 bedrooms. The rooms are decorated in a rustic style, and they have heat, TV, bathroom with tub, hairdryer, and free Wi-Fi. They don't offer meals or breakfasts. But you'll find places around to eat at a good price. The rooms are decorated in a charming fashion with names of different mushrooms in the area, and there's even information about them. It's very quiet and very welcoming.
Next to the Church of Santa Maria de la Horta (XII century) and 2 mins walk from the Plaza Mayor de Zamora. Rooms have free WiFi, LCD TV, wooden floors, air conditioning, hairdryer and mini bar. NH Palacio del Duero was built near a convent of the 14th century. Its design is simple and elegant. It also has plenty of lighting. You can enjoy modern cuisine served in The Wine, the restaurant. You can also go to the cafeteria with terrace and garden to enjoy a quiet moment. If you want to walk around and see the surroundings, it is 100 m from the River Duero, in the historic center of Zamora. Also, it's 224 m from the Jesuit Seminary, 200 m from various churches, 75 km from Salamanca and 100 km from Valladolid.
The J-Enrimary Hotel is right above the famous restaurant La Casona de Sanabria, which you can see in other pictures I have. This 3-star hotel is equipped with many rooms, each of which represent a village in the area. Every night you can stay at a different place without leaving the hotel. They have a very good offer that is FOR 100 EUROS. It includes dinner: with a special menu, where you can try the typical dishes of the region, in the restaurant La Casona de Sanabria, which is considered to be best restaurant in Madrid-Vigo and has a good quality-service-price ratio. Also included: accommodation in one of our rooms that has been specially chosen for you. You'll also get a continental breakfast: In our cafeteria that's open from 8:30 a.m. I hope you like it :)
Besides having a nice exterior, this well located hotel in the center of Zamora. I stayed in two different rooms because the first was non-smoking and they kindly moved me the next day to one that was. The two were very good with very spacious and comfortable beds. What surprised me most is that while sitting in front of the food market with all the traffic, you could hear a pin drop, I could really rest which is what I wanted.
