Greetings travelers. Located in the strategic place of Chaweng beach we found this excellent hotel-bungalow which, as its name suggests, was the first type of this accommodation on the island. Almost in the middle of the two beaches (Chaweng and Chaweng Noi) the hotel offers rooms from garden condos to beachside bungalows. It has a swimming pool, car rentals, wifi, beach bar, etc. In general all the amenities required by middle class tourists. You can arrange tours of the surrounding area and in less than 15 minutes walk to Chaweng shopping area. Room rates range from € 45 for an upper room in the hotel to 140 € for a beachfront bungalow. The easiest way to get there from Bangkok is by plane, it takes about 45 minutes to reach the island. If you are not rushed you can also travel by train or bus to Surat Thani Province, then get a ferry to the island. If requested you can have recogan take you to the hotel from the airport for about 10 € but if you don't do not worry because there are taxis, tuk tuks and buses that will take you. By the way, if prices do not convince you just go to neighboring accommodation, First House Hotel where we stayed it is right next door and you can stay in a double room for 10 euros.
Greetings travelers. During our visit to Koh Samui we stayed in the Hotel First House in Chaweng. I am increasingly convinced that it is worth your while to look for hotels on your own. So far I had not been disappointed by hotels with rooms that cost between 8 and 10 Euros and the Hotel First House was no exception. The Fisrt House Hotel features a spacious reception and a large dining room on the roof as well as a fantastic swimming pool. Located on the beachfront, quite originally designed as a boat, is a boutique where you can find everything from food, clothing, massages, motorcycle rentals and tours. This is a complete hotel where you can stay for 10 Euros, including breakfast. This hotel also offers a shuttle service to the Port of Bang Rak for excursions to Koh Tao, where you can snorkel at Mango Bay, Koh Nangyuang and also to Maenam Beach where you can catch the boat to Koh Pangnan for the Full Moon Party. The rooms are very decent with all necessary accessories and most importantly, the rooms are very clean. I recommend this hotel for its proximity to the beach, its reasonable prices, amenities and cleanliness.
On our honeymoon we stayed 3 days and it was a truly relaxing and exotic experience. It has a pool that has views of the sea which is incredible. The rooms are in Thai style and very big and clean. Highly recommended to rest or to have a starting point for various activities on the island. You also have a good chance to have a professional Thai massage. Meals at the hotel are spectacular. Delicious and of Very good quality. And actually they are not very expensive. And of course, if you go, you can not leave without trying a "Coconut Milk Sakhe" which is a kind of coconut smoothie that is so tasty.
Greetings travelers! On the island of Koh Samui, going north from the airport, is a small resort near the beach of Choeng Mon. It has rooms and villas with a mix of modern and traditional styles, for individual travelers or up to 4 bedrooms. A restaurant, air conditioning, swimming pool, satellite TV, wifi, minibar, safe, etc.. are some of the amenities of this establishment. Accommodation prices depend on the season, they range from 1800 baht (€ 40 approx) for a double room, 9000 baht (€ 210 approx) for 4-bedroom villas. Its location is excellent being close to the airport, places like Chaweng, Lamai, Maenam or temples like Wat Khao Laem and Hua Jook Pagoda. It is also very close to the Port of Bang Rak from where there are excursions to Koh Tao, Koh Koh Nangyuan or Phangnan and Big Buddha. It doesn't usually appear in guidebooks so I've left the web address so you can contact if interested.
When returning from the Buddha, I went to Chaweng Beach, stopping at places that seemed interesting. High on a hill, I saw a deserted beach and decided to check it out. The beach was privately owned by a hotel, Bhundhari Spa Resort. It's a high-priced luxury resort, prohibitively priced by Thai standards. I was impressed by the quality of the hotel and its prime location, and spent a few hours on the beach.
There are many reasons to stay at this hotel on the island of Nangyuan: the wonderful surroundings, the proximity to one of the best beaches, the clean air unpolluted by cars, the great price, and the wonderful service. There are different types of bungalow on offer, from the simplest to the most luxurious, but the truth is that the real treat is the environment. You can also opt for a double bungalow where you can stay with family or friends. All have bathrooms inside, fan or air conditioning (depending on the category) tv and one thing in common, good, clean and friendly service that will try to answer all your questions about the area. Another important plus point is the restaurant, which offers a variety of dishes at good prices. The hotel also offers discounts if you decide to do a diving course. There are courses for several levels, at surprisingly low prices.
Banburee Resort and Spa is centrally situated in Laem Set Beach Samui Island in Suratthani Province, Thailand. The ocean is in front of the property with mountainous terrain near the waterfall Namuand. The hotel has an outdoor community pool, spa, and sauna. The rooms have private bathrooms, satellite TV, as well as a minibar. Hope to see you soon!
On a hot and sunny day, I went to the terrace above the restaurant that overlooks the sea. The color of the water was deep blue and turquoise. What a wonderful view - the people lying on the beach or playing in the water. Frangipani blossoms fell to the ground only to be collected by the charming girls of the staff who put them in their hair. Tropical birds could be heard if not seen. A true paradise. A dream? No...I'm lucky enough to work here as manager, and I want to share it with as many people as I can.
I spent more than a decade on one of the most beautiful islands in Southeast Asia before getting a job managing an idyllic 3-star beach resort, the Lawana Resort. Each bungalow is equipped with all you'll need for your dream holiday. After spending some time working as a guide, I realized that places like Lawana were never recommend to European travelers - instead, they were encouraged to go to the expensive 4 or 5 star hotels, where the welcome can be a bit on the cold side. Lawana will make you feel at home, and the rates are great. If you have any questions, ask me!
