Places to stay in Saint Paul

Are you trying to decide where to stay in Saint Paul? While you can find affordable lodging in Saint Paul throughout the year, summer is probably the best time to visit. During the winter this city is seriously cold and snowy and, while pretty, it's less convenient to take in many of the city's sights. It's best to look for Saint Paul accommodations during the summer months and to book a couple of weeks before travelling.

There are hotels in Saint Paul for all tastes and styles. Many of them are located near the Mississippi River and there are others spread out across the city and through the suburbs -- and of course there are plenty more in adjacent Minneapolis, which is the state's largest city. Saint Paul hotels are concentrated in the city center and many blend sensible Midwestern ethos with a slightly more modern flair -- and of course plenty of Minnesota hospitality. For cheap Saint Paul lodging, you will probably want to focus on the city's motels and bed and breakfast inns. Prices start at around 40 € a night and some are well-kept. Other places to stay in Saint Paul include suite hotels, catered apartments, condos, and homes for rent.

    Saint Paul
It feels like you belong in a F. Scott Fitzgerald novel when you walk into Hotel 340 in downtown St Paul. The character and charm of the building has been retained throughout- from the elevator decor to the vaulted ceilings of the first floor lounge and up into the second floor- it's stunning. Hotel rooms are on the top floors of the building- 10, 11, 12 and they have one of the cheapest night sleeps in all of downtown for $89/night (plus taxes which puts you at about $101). It's an efficiency style room with just enough room for a bed and tv (pictured) that you get for $89, but you're probably not visiting St Paul for the hotel room any way. Hotel 340 is located in the heart of the skyway system and on one of the 4 main lightrail system stops, so you wouldn't even need a car during your visit! Breakfast is included and has some terrific fresh fruit options, along with your standard continental breakfast fare.
