Maritime history
The Baltimore Maritime Museum is located in Baltimore. From Fells Point shipyards, the Baltimore Clippers, and Fort McHenry, (where the British naval bombardment in the war of 1812 that inspired "The Star-Spangled Banner")...Baltimore's history is intertwined with men and sailing ships. On April 9 they will be opening a new core exhibition, "Maryland's Maritime Heritage: From Fells Point to the World, 1760-1850."
