Mucuripe Fish Market

The fish market in the city of Fortaleza is at the end of Beira. There are about thirty stalls selling all kinds of seafood. On the site you can haggle over prices, and you'll leave with a styrofoam box containing your selection, the best way to transport it while keeping it fresh until you get it home. You can buy fish, prawns, lobsters, oysters, squid, octopus and more - all excellent quality, and some really good prices. If you're feeling hungry, there are some stalls where you can eat on the spot. It's a rustic but picturesque spot, with great views over the coast. A nice place to watch the sunset.
