A fourteenth century church

Good

Fowey Parish Church is the name of the church in the small coastal town of Fowey in the county of Cornwall at the southern tip of England. Religion has always played an important part in the life of this 2,000-inhabitant settlement, as a local legend claims that Jesus Christ visited Fowey during a business trip with Joseph of Arimathea. Fowey Parish Church dates back to the early fourteenth century, and was built on the site of an old Norman church. It is dedicated to Saint Finbarr, who was Bishop of Cork (Ireland) in the seventh century. This church is notable for its four-story tower, a sixteenth century addition, which offers a great view of the town of Fowley.
