Goat fell

The peak known as Goat Fell or Gaoda Bheinn is the highest peak on the Island of Arran, at 874 meters (making it a Corbett in the Scottish classification). The mountain itself is protected by the National Trust for Scotland, and is the most visited mountain on the island. There are several routes along it, of varying difficulty and length.

The easiest is about 6 km long, beginning at the famous Brodick Castle. It's an attractive path through forests and rocky terrain, offering views of almost the entire island. From the top, on a clear day, you can see as far as the coast of Ireland. Be aware that any time of year, you will need the correct equipment to tackle this mountain, and it takes about 7 hours to complete.
