Photographic getaway

This "Magic Town" is one of the must-see places in Yucatan, Mexico. It's a very quiet town where you can walk along colonial cobblestone streets where time stands still and among the houses and you'll still see vestiges of the ancient Mayan culture. The Convent of San Antonio de Padua (with its monumental courtyard that is considered to be the largest in America) is the most representative building in this little yellow town.

Izamal, a small town in the operetta ...

Izamal, a small town in the operetta yellow decor, where the trot of a horse-drawn carriage rate the quiet places, was originally, with a dozen temples, pyramids, one of the largest Mayan religious centers. Undoubtedly, this strong religiosity she pushed the Spanish settlers to build a huge Franciscan Monastery, the Convent of St. Anthony of Padua. Since its arches, it dominates the city leisurely, its shady squares, the comings and goings of some cyclists while there, under the arches, sun and shade play an endless game of hide and seek. Intimate patios disappear in alignment tiled roofs weathered from which emerges a few crossings of streets, ancient pyramid dedicated to the sun god Kinich-Kakmó.
