1 review of Jumbo Saddle

Take a spin.

Jumbo's broad grassy slopes frame much of Missoula, but it's the saddle behind it that is where most of the biking is. Accessed from upper Lincoln Hills Drive, biking and hiking trails fan out south part of the way towards Jumbo's summit, but mostly east toward Marshall Canyon and north into the Rattlesnake. The main trail heads generally north for a figure-8 loop -- it's called Sidewinder. Sidewinder is a high-quality trail with reasonable grades, banked turns, and excellent views down into Rattlesnake and Missoula. Count on about 7.5 miles, 1300 vertical feet, and around two hours for the ride.
