    Half an hour by boat from Samana, a city located on the peninsula of the same name, in the north of the Dominican Republic is an island with a white sandy beach called Cayo Levantado. Recently a luxury hotel has been built on this islet and an artificial beach with white sand was constructed in the turquoise water, typical of the southeastern coast of the country. When you visit Samana, I recommend taking a day trip to this beautiful beach.
