SOMArts Cultural Center

The SOMArts Cultural Center is located in San Francisco. The mission of SOMArts Cultural Center is to promote and encourage the level of the art community and foster appreciation and respect for all cultures. Established as a nonprofit in 1979, SOMArts created the passionate activism Neighborhood Arts Movement, a pioneering initiative in San Francisco, which demanded art by and for people outside the circles of high culture, and to support the city financially.
